Yumilicious, a frozen yogurt retailer based in the Dallas area, recently announced it has joined forces with Mocapay, a mobile consumer engagement platform, to provide better customer reward program and loyalty initiatives to its new and existing customers.
The program offerings are expected to be made available at the company’s locations throughout Texas as well as in South Carolina. Yumilicious will use Mocapay’s mobile platform to target
consumers and offer them attractive specials as well as the ability to redeem loyalty points and receive reminders of perks before, during and after transactions.
“Our customer is accustomed to personalizing their frozen yogurt during each visit,” said Christian Le, CEO of Yumilicious. “The Mocapay platform provides us an additional layer of customization by enabling our customers to participate in tailored promotions and loyalty offers directly from their mobile phone. We hope that through this consumer data and rollout to all franchises, we can better serve our customer.”
Customers of Yumilicious will be able to participate in its loyalty program by signing up directly from their mobile phone or they also have the option to shift their existing loyalty card over and begin earning the new reward points immediately. Mocapay uses software as a service architecture to allow Yumilicious to integrate its existing point of sale equipment without undertaking costly upgrades.
“We are excited to be working with Yumilicious to mobile enable its existing loyalty program,” said Doug Dwyre, president of Mocapay. “With a consumer base that frequents their locations often, Yumilicious will be able to learn more about customer behavior and better tailor loyalty offers based on visits data.”
Reward and loyalty programs are trending across the country with Belly, a program provider that uses a web-based format to deliver rewards, announcing it has recently received $10 million in Series B funding from Andreessen Horowitz and that money will go toward financing new product development initiatives as it expands its offerings to Boston and New York. Belly is already available in Austin, Texas; Milwaukee and Madison in Wisconsin; Phoenix; and Washington, D.C., after launching in Chicago in August 2011.
