When it comes to choosing incentive travel options, Incentive Solutions has lots of experience in the all-inclusive sector. These resorts are popular among our clients looking to reward their top customers with a fully pampered experience while staying within a pre-determined travel budget. Whether you’re just dipping your toes into the water of group incentive travel or are looking for ways to enhance your current incentive travel program, make sure to check out Deven Crane’s tips when considering an all-inclusive resort.
Hello everyone and welcome to Atlanta, Georgia. I’m Devin Crane, the Director of Travel Services for incentive Solutions and today I want to talk to you about the option of all-inclusive travel and what to think about when considering the destinations for your future travel programs.
Having worked at Incentive Solutions since 1999, so that would be 21 years now (started when I was 12!), I have had the privilege of planning many all-inclusive programs for our clients. The resort options come highly requested, and when you really want to get a bang for your buck, all-inclusives are the way to go.
When you think of the quintessential dream vacation that you win on Jeopardy or The Price is Right with Bob Barker (well, that was a long time ago I guess, it’s Drew Barry now), the words “all expenses paid” is the defining factor. This is exactly the type of marketing that we want to keep in mind when planning an incentive travel program. What motivates your sales team more than an all-inclusive trip to paradise where all things are included? Put your wallet in the safe- where it’s safe! And you don’t have to spend any money. It’s great.
And also, when it comes to budgeting for these programs, all-inclusive is the way to go because you know how much it’s going to cost from the very get-go, as well as the threshold your participant programs will need to meet in order to qualify for the trip. Remember, an incentive program is an investment, and strategy is key to making you achieve valuable ROI.
If you watched my last Vlog about incentive travel, now is the time to plan. 2021 is filling up as we speak and future trips are exactly the type of thing that motivates your customers right now.
Now here’s where we get to the meat of the video: choosing your all -inclusive destination. More often than not, I have clients saying “I want an all-inclusive, but I don’t want to go to Mexico, the Caribbean, or Latin America.” Well, that cuts out 99.9% of all-inclusive programs. As a matter of fact, if you cut out Mexico, you cut out about 90%. Mexico is where there are a lot of 4- and 5-star high-end resorts, and I’m telling you- you don’t want to miss out on these!
The mecca of all-inclusive resorts is in these places: Mexico, Punta Cana, and the Caribbean. This is where the concept of the all-inclusive took off years ago with Club Med. But now, even Marriott International is investing $800 million into five new resorts in Punta Cana and Riviera Nayarit. They’re going to open as early as 2022. So if you want the best, you want to go where the best is being offered.
There’s also travel and proximity factors of an incentive trip to think about. Right now, I’m in beautiful Atlanta, Georgia as you can see. Hartsfield International Airport is just down the road a piece, and it’s only a two-hour flight to Mexico. I can literally leave my house and be on the beach in three and a half hours. Where else can you do that? You want to take advantage of as much time as possible while you’re there; don’t take all day trying to get there.
Whatever your current impression of Mexico is, I guarantee you it doesn’t reflect all that Mexico has to offer in the past decade. Competition for these all-inclusive resorts has surged and now there are more 4 and 5-star all-inclusives in Mexico than anywhere else in the world. The beaches are beautiful, the resorts are beautiful, the staff has a high-quality work ethic, the service is impeccable, the level of customer service is elite, and the price- the bang for your buck- is amazing
Now let’s talk about the culture of Mexico. We talked about the all-inclusive properties but what’s there to do there? All-inclusive resorts give you everything you need within the resort walls, but there’s also options for day trips outside those walls, and in Mexico, it’s amazing. You have places like the Tulum Ruins or Chichén Itzá. They also have cenotes- cenotes are these really cool underground caverns filled with water where you can actually dive in them, and then go snorkeling around, it’s amazing, it really is. ATVing, all that other stuff.
And of course, if you don’t like any of that cultural stuff, you can always jump on a booze cruise or go paragliding or jet skiing or something like that. I promise you; you’re not going to run out of things to do in Mexico.
So now that you’re up to date on all the all-inclusive resorts and all the culture and activities in Mexico, I want to remind you that booking a trip with Incentive Solutions is hiring trip-to-trip management from seasoned incentive travel managers. We’ve had incredible experiences with our clients and we have great partnerships with resorts that give us rates that in-house planners simply just can’t get.
