Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable
    • Receive, deposit and post cash applications to customer accounts
    • Record customer invoices, credit memos or other adjustments
  • Accounts Payable
    • Vouch vendor invoices
    • Processes weekly vendor payments
  • Vendor reconciliations
    • Reconcile vendor invoices to our internally developed merchandise ordering system
  • Cash Management
    • Review of daily bank activity and transaction recording as necessary
    • Initiate wire transfers, ACH debits/credits
    • Reconciliation of bank accounts
    • Maintaining daily cash dashboard reporting
    • Support of collections process including issuance of periodic account statements
  • Filing – document organization related to the above processes is mandatory to facilitate an efficient work environment
  • Other responsibilities
    • Journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting responsibilities related to the month end close process
    • Assist as needed during annual Audit

Requirements:

  • Systems requirements:
  • Excel (Basic to advanced knowledge required)
  • Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics SL a plus
  • A 4 year Bachelor’s degree; Accounting background a plus
  • Ability to identify process or technology flaws that result in issues detrimental to the protection of company assets
  • Strong communication skills. Requires the ability and personality to interface with multiple departments on a daily basis
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
